Gabriel K Smith – My Story
You have a story. I have a story. We all do.
Stories are the coalescence of our human experience, pulling together the threads of events, places, relationships, emotion, and circumstances into a tapestry of meaning.
This is my story. It’s not complete yet. I’m still in it.
I’m the oldest of three boys, a husband to Janet, a daddy to Madeline, a friend of Jesus above all.
I was a soldier. I learned to lead men when I was young. I fought in a war. I learned to be angry, then sad, and then grateful.
I was a student. I read things in ancient languages. I learned to think. I learned there’s a lot I don’t know.
I was an adventurer. I lived in far away places. I was a stranger in a strange land. I learned that my world is not the world.
I am an entrepreneur. I get much joy from creating new things. In this space, I still feel like an imposter sometimes.
I am a pastor. I love helping people find and follow Jesus. I am learning how to find and follow Jesus too.
I am a coach and friend to leaders. I love helping people discover their unique gifts and make a difference in the world.
I am alive. I am becoming. I am a story.
